About the League

Welcome to the Pleasantside Mixed Friday Night curling league.

Our league plays in single draw on Friday nights at 7:15pm.  The focus is on fun and friendly
competition and we have curling ability from new to experienced curlers.

In addition to some events throughout the year (Halloween, Christmas) in the lounge upstairs where each team brings some food to share, we have an end of season wind up party with a cash Skins game and dinner on the last night of curling.

We have ten teams in the league this year and two of the teams are largely new curlers - welcome! 

We will have two rounds of nine games (every team will play every other team once in each round) and the final week will be the Skins game and wind-up party.

Curling commences on October 7th and goes until December 16th before the holiday break.  Please note that on November 11th there will be no curling because it is a statutory holiday.

After the holiday break, curling begins again on January 6th and ends on March 9th.  Please note that there will be no curling on January 13th because the Port Moody bonspiel is scheduled for that weekend.

We will have a potluck Christmas party on December 16th, and our end of season cash skins game and windup party will be on March 9th.   More to come from the social committee!

Friday night always has “gone upstairs” to the lounge and the bar will be open.  We'll see you there!

Please ensure that you show up on time for your games and if you are going to miss for any reason you contact the other team.  There is practice/game makeup time on Saturdays from 1:30pm – 3:30pm at the curling club with priority on the sheets given to teams wishing to make-up games.
